Once every couple of years, there comes a Dior that I actually want! And this one isn’t a concession, like in some altered reality if I was forced to buy a Dior and had to choose one. Looking at all the bags out there for Fall, this is one of my top 3 choices. I find the hand stitching of the cannage detail so interesting because they are slightly irregular and they’re 3D. The detail is achieve through pin tucking the leather so it is actually a part of the bag rather than applied, so the intersections of the lines are a bit off. You would think this is a flaw but it is done so well that it is actually a selling point. I mean, that’s a fine line but the result here is clearly on the positive side. Even the shape is just slightly off tradition, it almost looks like a classic old lady frame, but the hour glass curves at the sides totally perks it up. The pearl gray is not only divine, it shows off the cannage details beautifully. All the hand crafted details make this bag kind of expensive though, at Neiman Marcus for 50.
